Materials

(Less than) 1 skein Handpaint Originals, color HP 30 Sunbaked Earth
Size 5  US  9" straight needles
Size 7 DPNs
tapestry needle

1. Cast on 16 sts, knit in garter stitch for about 8". Cast off loosely.
2. Fold fabric in half. About 3/4" up from the fold, pick up 14 center stitches.
3. Knit these 14 stitches in stockinette stitch for about 2".
4. Knit 3 rows in K1 P1 ribbing. Cast off in pattern (4 rows ribbing total).
5. Using tapestry needle, sew sides of pocket to pouch.
6. Sew up sides of pouch. Weave in all the ends.
7. Using size 7 DPNs, cast on 3 stitches and knit i-cord to desired length. (I knit mine about 46" - long enough to wear around my neck. It may eventually stretch to be long enough to wear like a purse.)
8. Using long tails from i-cord, sew it to the pouch on the sides where the seams meet.
Voila! A warm and cuddly love nest for your beloved iPod mini! Yay!
